STELLA BABY-FOOT: A STORY SUCCESS
Rich in its history and resolutely in its time, Stella has always tried to place the pleasure of the game at the centre of her concerns when designing and producing her legendary baby football.
It was on the eve of World War II that Auguste Sarreau, the first president of the French Confederation of Automatics, imagined his first baby football.
Already at the origin of many games of address and countertop, Mr.Sarreau reaches the top of his art by imagining a mythical baby football that will forever remain engraved in the memory of the players over the generations. His name is the Baby-foot Stella Champion.
It was in 1948 that the Champion model reached the height of its success. Today considered a retro Baby-foot (this nickname has become its current name), the latter already has at the time its irreplaceable telescopic steel bars, its famous yellow/red colour association, the possibility of playing with the head, its players with vertical feet equipped with hoofs that have always made purists happy.
Its marketing ended in 1959, when it was replaced by its more modern version, the current Champion model. The main evolution comes from the case now in "boat form".
As early as 1995, when moving to the Tourcoing workshop, new models appeared. With the ambition of integrating households, more "family" models are born in the same way as other models specially dedicated to export. Whether in houses, communities, bars... In the United States, in Eastern Europe, in Africa, Stella is now everywhere!
Following the purchase of the Deutscher Meister brand in 2011, the Baby-foot Stella catalogue was enriched with 5 models. With these two brands, the company offers more than ever export prospects, especially in the German and Dutch markets where the brand is a real reference.
In addition to baby football, the passion for coffee games lies in the heart of Stella's DNA. The brand has always developed and imagined products that come from the electric atmosphere of bars and estaminets in the past.
The Billiard Nicolas completes the Baby-Foot range just as this great basketball game will do when it is released from its current development phase.
Today Stella embodies a new movement: babyfooting, this art of living and this new aesthetics around the babyfoot that carries simple value: gambling stories, beautiful objects and the pleasure of meeting around a good part!
More than a thousand foosballs, is now produced each year in the Stella workshops of Tourcoing with a single ambition no matter where it is: to provide the true emotions of a moment shared with family or friends!
