How much space do I need for my compact pool table?
To enjoy your billiard game without being hindered by obstacles, it is necessary to provide enough space around the table. This depends on two things: the size of the table and the cues.
Conceived in the spirit and the design which made the trademark of Stella, the billiard tables Chiberta, Tilman and Scipion are characterized by their compact shape which allows them to fit perfectly in any type of space, even the smallest. In fact, at Stella we have chosen to offer billiard tables with a reduced size of 1.60 m, which opens the door to new options and playing techniques without compromising on playability or sensations. With a solid oak body and brushed aluminum finishes, our billiard tables feed an ideal of aesthetics through a vintage and elegant style. Worked out in the slightest detail, their refined forms will marry your interior wonderfully without presenting the disadvantage of monopolizing too much space. You will then be able to enjoy a billiard table that is an integral part of your daily life and that is both an object of sharing and a decorative piece of character.
Thus, with Stella billiards, the space constraint is limited, especially since you can take the option of the Desk + Ping-Pong Table, which will make your Stella billiards table a real piece of interior furniture with a greater utility than the simple game. Turn it into an elegant and spacious desk with an oak top, 150 x 180 cm, or into a ping-pong table with the brushed aluminum net, the two rackets and the balls supplied with your billiard table.
However, the 157 x 90 centimeters of your game table should not prevent you from reserving a minimum area for your billiard table in order to play comfortably.
So, how do you calculate the space around your pool table? Simply take the length of the cue and add 20 centimeters.
Space needed around your pool table = length of the cue + 20
So, to play with 145 cm cues, you will need 165 cm around your Stella table. This corresponds to a total surface of 490 x 411 cm, including the pool table. If the playing area is composed of low furniture such as a sofa, an armchair, a coffee table or a chest of drawers, a space of only 80 cm (minimum) is necessary as long as this furniture does not prevent the circulation of players. Conversely, the presence of pillars, a fireplace, or a bookcase can prevent you from being comfortable in your movements. Nevertheless, so that this does not prevent you from winning or having fun, you can use cues of reduced dimensions, like the 122 cm cues delivered with your Stella billiard. The space required will be 142 cm around the table, that is to say a total of 444 x 365 cm.
