On September 20, 2024, the Tourcoing Town Hall will host a now-essential event: the third edition of the inter-company foosball tournament, organized by Stella in partnership with Tourcoing Entreprendre and the city of Tourcoing. This tournament will bring together 150 companies from the Hauts-de-France region, offering an exceptional opportunity to compete against other businesses while promoting networking and professional collaborations.
With 150 teams of two players, this tournament promises to be intense and competitive. Matches will start at 1 PM and continue until 8 PM, with group stages followed by knockout rounds beginning at the round of 16. Teams will need to demonstrate their foosball skills through fair play rules and commitments.
A historic setting for a foosball competition
Located in the heart of Tourcoing, the Town Hall, built in the 19th century by Charles Maillard, will provide a legendary setting for this tournament. Accessible by tram, metro, bus, and car, this historic monument will add a prestigious dimension to the event, coinciding with the Heritage Days.
Prizes for the winners and the lucky ones
You will have the chance to win a personalized Champion Collector foosball table in your company's colors, worth €2500. Other prizes will also be awarded to participants in the raffle, adding an exciting dimension to the competition.
Registration and participation
Registration for the tournament is open to all companies in the region. Each team must consist of two players and represent a company. The participation fee is €80 per team (€40 per player) until July 30, after which it will increase to €100 per team. It is essential to register in advance to ensure your participation.
Game Rules
The tournament rules have been designed to ensure fair and dynamic matches:
Kick-Off: The kick-off is determined by a draw, and the ball is placed at the midfield.
Player Position Changes: Team members can only change positions during a kick-off or a timeout.
Goals: Goals are valid under specific conditions.
Tricks and Moves: Techniques such as "pissettes," rebounds, and "roulette" are allowed under specific conditions.
Own Goals: An own goal counts as one point for the opposing team and requires a re-kick.
Restarting Play: The ball is reintroduced based on its position if it is immobilized or goes out of play.
Lobs: Scoring a goal by passing the ball over the goal bar earns two points.
Prohibitions: Moving or lifting the foosball table, attempting to distract the opponent, and any aggressive behavior are prohibited.
Food Stands and Activities
A food and beverage stand will be available on-site for participants and spectators, ensuring a friendly and enjoyable experience throughout the day. Details about the event partners will be announced on the dedicated Facebook page.
Opportunities to expand your network
Beyond the competition, this event is a golden opportunity for companies to meet and build connections. Dedicated spaces will be set up to encourage exchanges and discussions, paving the way for potential future collaborations.
